Are you getting all you want out of life or do you need to make getting rid of destructive thoughts a new year resolution?

If you want to achieve your dreams and get all you want in life you have to give up negative thinking. Persistant destructive thoughts will  bring you down and make you feel insecure.

There is no real science behind this attitude of destructive thought; however, some studies reveal that optimistic people have healthier lives.

It’s normal to doubt certain areas in your life. Things don’t always pan out that way you hoped they would, and you’re bound to make mistakes along the way.

But this doesn’t necessarily mean that you always have to think of the worst outcome all the time. Many of us prepare for a bad outcome in everything we do. A better approach would be to have faith and keep believing in ourselves.

To avoid awkward circumstances, you come up with a number of excuses as to why you shouldn’t engage in a certain situation. These excuses act like your prison until you hinder yourself from fully experiencing anything that could improve your life.

You have to realize that everyone needs to try out new things for them to fully grow. Life doesn’t hand you instant happiness in a silver platter.  You have to work at it and push yourself a bit further. Instead of taking big leaps, move forward with small steps.

Another important thing you must do is to stop thinking about your recent run-in with bad luck. You think that the only way to stop disappointments is to not think about things working out. This hampers your level of excitement, and less excited people are just more likely to perform poorly.

Stop subconsciously telling yourself that you can never be happy. This is a classic case of self-fulfilling prophecy. The more you expect things to work against you, the more likely they will because your actions will likely be influenced by your negativity. Keep believing in yourself if you want to achieve your dreams.

While you work your way up the ladder of success, you are so careful not to step on anyone’s toes. While this is a very healthy attitude, you sometimes become too afraid about imposing something on someone else.

You become fearful of inconveniencing and offending others that you lock yourself in one place for too long. This might make someone else feel uncomfortable, but that isn’t reason enough for you to not go for your desires. Just remember that as long as you are not lying, cheating, breaking the law, or carelessly causing someone pain, you owe it to yourself to live your life to the fullest.

Things usually happen for a reason, so you can make fate work for you by believing that you are always given the opportunity to better your life. If you want something badly enough, the rewards of taking the chance outweigh the hindrances that come with it. You just need to keep the ball rolling until you’ll see that the world actually works for you.

This new year make it one of your resolutions to get rid of destructive thoughts and practice the art of positive thinking.

3 Tips For Sticking To New Year Resolutions

The new year is almost upon us, so you can start making some changes with these 3 tips to help you stick to your new year’s resolutions.

Although many of us start the New Year full of hope and excitement for making things happen, many of us quickly give up on our goals and wait until the next year to even think about them again. But we set resolutions for a reason, and that’s because we hope they can improve our lives in some way. So if you want to set goals you can keep this year, here are three tips to help you make it happen.

1) Set Realistic Goals That You Really Can Keep

The first place to start is with your goals. Are they realistic? Are they honestly, honestly something that you can see yourself achieving in the coming year? By all means, push yourself with your goals, but do it within the limits of what’s possible! Planning to work out for 2 hours every single day probably isn’t realistic for most people, nor is it realistic to think that you’ll cut out all sweet food completely if you like your sweet treats.

It’s also important to ensure you don’t try too many things at once. By all means, plan to improve your guitar playing skills, to get healthier, and to learn a new language, but try focusing on just one goal to begin with. Once you’ve made the first goal a habit, or reached the milestone you were aiming for, you can move onto the second.

2) Understand The Way You Feel

Although not all our New Year’s resolutions are about giving something up, understanding the way you feel about things like overeating, or other habits you may have, is crucial to seeing your goal through to the end. If you’re trying to give up drinking, or a certain type of food, understand that cravings come and go like waves, and do the best you can to learn about what triggers your cravings so that you can avoid them.

The same goes with things like exercise. Think about how you feel when you can’t be bothered to exercise, and put it off until tomorrow – you probably feel like you let yourself down. But when you do exercise, not only are you happy that you’re meeting your goal, but you may even get a rush off those endorphins!

3) Reward Yourself, Don’t Punish Yourself

We tend to work better when we’re working towards certain rewards, rather than avoiding punishments. So decide on some ways to reward yourself for completing goals. Instead of berating yourself and feeling guilty for not doing something, think of how you’ll feel and what you’ll do when you do something you want to do. Pick milestones relating to your goals, such as 1 month without a drink, or 5 days of exercising every day, and give yourself something nice as a reward (a new CD, a nice meal etc.) Rewards are far better motivators than fear!

Berries are one of the most well recognized health foods on the planet. The term “berry benefits” gets around 50,000 Google searches each month. However, unlike a lot of health foods berries most definitely live up to the hype and should definitely be part of your New Year diet plans.

The Secret Health Boosting Nutrient In Berries

There are many reasons that berries are so good for you. They contain extremely high levels of the nutrients dietary fiber, managanese, vitamin C and vitamin K. However, many experts believe the reasons for berries health boosting properties is anthocyanins.

Anthocyanins are a group of flavonoids that are found exclusively in berries and have a number of impressive health benefits. For starters, they are very powerful antioxidants.

Antioxidants are substances that keep you safe from the dangerous free radicals which get released during oxygen based reactions. Additionally, the anthocyanins can keep your blood healthy and protect against a number of chronic diseases including cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

How Can You Eat More Berries?

Berries are one of the tastiest fruits around so adding them to your diet is not that difficult. However, if you are having problems fitting them in here are a few serving suggestions:

1) Berries And Yogurt:- Berries are a great way to flavour natural yogurt. For optimal taste, add the berries to the yogurt the night before and then leave them in the fridge overnight. This allows all the juices to soak into the yogurt and really enriches the flavour.

2) Berry Blast Fruit Salad:- To make this one get a selection of your favourite berries and place them all in a bowl. Then get one or more of your favourite berry juices, add them to the bowl and leave all the ingredients to soak overnight. I find that a mixture of 75% berries, 25% juice works best but have a play around and see what works for you.

3) Berry Smoothies:- If you have a blender then berry smoothies are a great way to mix it up. Simply put your ingredients in a blender, pour them into a cup and then enjoy. If you are struggling to come up with a recipe try blending half a cup of blueberries, half a cup of raspberries, half a cup of strawberries, half a cup of ice cubes, half a cup of yogurt, 1 banana and 1 cup of milk for a very tasty, berry filled smoothie. You can also get plenty more berry based smoothies at this website.

Eating more berries should be one of your main priorities in the New Year. If you follow the advice above you should have no problem unlocking their power and having your healthiest New Year ever.

This Japanese Diet Secret Will Help You Have The Healthiest New Year Ever

English: Glass of soy milk and soy beans.

The New Year is a time when many people start to focus on their diet. They make the decision that this is the year they will finally eat clean and cut down on the junk food. Today I am going to give you the edge over many other people by sharing a Japanese diet secret that you can implement in the New Year to improve your health significantly.

Japanese People And Health

Before I share this Japanese diet secret with you, you might be wondering why you need to be implementing secrets from the Japanese people anyway? Well if you look at the statistics, Japanese people have very good health. Their overall cancer rates are 50% lower than those in the USA and the average life expectancy rate in Japan is 4 years higher than it is in the USA. In fact John Creighton Campbell, a professor of political science at the University of Michigan and Tokyo University believes the Japanese people are the healthiest on the planet.

The Japanese Diet Secret

Whilst there is plenty of speculation around why the Japanese are so healthy, a lot of evidence points to one very powerful food – soybeans. In Japan, the average person eats soybeans 2 or 3 times per day which is a much higher consumption rate than in the USA.

Soybeans are nutritionally one of the best foods you can eat. They are packed with protein, rich in omega 3 essential fatty acids and full of vitamins and minerals. However, they also contain another exclusive health boosting group of phytonutrients – isoflavones. The isoflavones are extremely powerful antioxidants which keep your body safe from dangerous free radicals. They also have very strong links with cancer prevention and are believed to be one of the main factors behind the much lower rates of breast cancer and prostate cancer in Japan.

The Dangers Of Unfermented Soy

Despite providing you with exclusive access to isoflavones, not all soybeans are created equal. Fermented soybeans that are traditionally eaten by the Japanese provide you with all the benefits listed above. However, unfermented soybeans which are used in many highly processed soybean products such as soy burgers, soy cheese and soy ice cream carry with them a number of health risks that far outweigh the health benefits of isoflavones. To avoid these health risks the answer is the same as it is for many other foods – go for natural, unprocessed versions where possible.

In their natural form, soybeans are one of the healthiest foods on the planet. So if you want to increase your life expectancy, reduce your cancer risk and much more in the New Year take full advantage of this Japanese diet secret. Add soybeans to your salad, mix them in with other vegetables as part of your evening meal and make sure you are eating them on a regular basis.

Start your New Year Resolutions early by having the healthiest New Year ever…
